Chapter 317: 315. Here Take A Cookie



Amara didn't know what happened but she got so frustrated that she used the words she hated her mom for using it on her before.

"Uwaah!~"

Liora just ignored her once again, As if Amara did not talk at all.

"HEY!!!! Keep quiet, Stop crying like a little boy."

Amara took it personally now, And even before she knew it she started using the exact words of her mother and the tone.

"Uwaah!~"

Liora did not stop nor acknowledge her words crying her eyes out looking at Alex.

"Come on Liora, Don't be like this, Be a woman."

Amara finally snapped at her. This woman ruining her name in front of her brother. What would he think that she can't even handle the one simple job he gave to her

No, she can't allow that to happen, So she used her ultimate attack, The one alway used to dig deep into her heart every time her mother used to say that to her.

It hurt second only to the words she used to utter as a final straw to keep her quiet.

Well this time Liora did heard words of Amara but other than calming down as Amara expected, she just started crying with even more intensity.

"HEYY!! Listen here Liora. If you continue to act like this, No man ever wants to be with you, No man like cry baby-"

Something snapped inside Amara when Liora just started crying more, And before she even realize it these words came out her mouth.

The moment these words escaped, She instantly regretted as she knew how much these words hurt when said in the most vulnerable period.

Her mother used to do this often as this words were the one that always used to make her stop crying as in her mind if she cried, Her brother would not like him.

She still hates her mother for it, Hence why there is animosity between them.

She didn't wanted this to happen with Liora but she couldn't understand how to take those words back.

"Wow Woh, Stop, Just stop talking, You are making it worse."

When Alex heard her words, He couldn't help but to interfere to stop her from continuing doing damage.

It's okay not being able to make her stop crying but she just makes it worse. Isn't its normal practice not to hit someone when they are already down?

He yet to figure out her cause for crying and now Amara made her like this, so it would be even harder to get information out of her.

"*Sniff* *Sniff'* I-*Choke* I am sorry Uwaah!"

Amara could not hold back, She didn't understand what happen to her but when Alex yelled at her, Her heart suddenly become heavy as she was quick to apologize.

But even before she started she was holding herself back and as she finished her apology, She was not able to hold back anymore.

She too burst out crying, Now there were two S-Rank awakens crying in his living room. Amara didn't know why she was crying out, she though terrified if Alex getting angry knew he just furasted, He did not actually angry at her, she knew him enough to understand his tone.

She knows there is no reason to cry, She just had to apologize and her brother would forgive her. There is nothing to worry about at all.

But she is still crying. Tears just keep coming out of her eyes without any sign off stopping at all, She just wants to feel like crying her heart out at this moment.

Why? She didn't know, It's like someone just flipped the switch in her mind making her throw all her pent up emotions out.

'Is there something in the air? Why is this happening?'

Alex couldn't help but think to himself seeing even Amara starter crying.

Though it was more acceptable for him to see Amara cry as he had seen before but that only when something extreme happened and that too just tears here and there.

Not like this bawling to him, This made him suspicious about whether or not the 3rd party was involved in these events.

'Did I bring that thing back at home.'

Alex suddenly had a spine chilling thought, That undead or something able to affect the intelligence of even Amara.

So there is a high chance he might have brought that undead straight back home as he didn't think of that undead could follow them.

After all, Those beings of the land of the dead are bound to one place. They can't travel on their own unless summoned or teleported by their master of powers.

So did not thought that thing can follow him back but who knows that thing capable off, Maybe this individual can travel freely.

"Hey hey, I am sorry don't cry, I am not angry at you."

Alex thought wondering the possibility of he bringing that undead here, Put those thoughts aside for a while to soothe Amara.

At least with her, he knows how to calm her down, He just had to talk to her softly and reassure her that he is not angry at her, That should be enough to calm her down.

Or at least he thoughts so.

"Uwaah!~"

Amara did not stop crying even after hearing Alex. This may be the first time in her whole life she ignored something her brother said to her but she was in no condition to listen to what he

said.

Right now, All she wanted to wash away the pent up emotions she holding back since childhood, forgetting, ignoring anything and everything.

This taken ex aback not understanding what else to do, He was ready to give up and ask system for the explanation going against his rules as knowing the reason behind their

outburst was more important than his pride.

"There there, Don't cry, Here take this cookie."

Alex was ready to do it but halted his acting seeing what was just happening in front of him.
