Chapter 946: Prime Azure
Chapter 946: Prime Azure
"...Huh?"
Seeing that his Prime Azure Energy reserves had exceeded the quest requirements by a bit over 20%, Valyr remained silent as he thought about the possible causes why his energy reserves had ballooned to that level.
'Is it because of the rewards I got from forming Prime Azure Energy?' asked the young man to himself, feeling that it was the most likely reason for his current situation.
With that, he took a look at the changes both the Serpent Maiden and the Overseer made to his subclass, only to find out that the changes they did could all be seen throughout his skills.
Specifically, the changes they made were in the skills transformed by the Four Paths Azure Warlord subclass, making all of them activate purely off of Prime Azure Energy.
It was a drastic change compared to before, where the same skills used both Azure Energy and mana to be activated.
'Then again, it's more of a positive change, considering how I can now fight for longer while unleashing more skills at the same time,' thought Valyr to himself. 'In a way, it's allowed me to become even more flexible in combat.'
"But aside from that, they really didn't do anything else," murmured the young man to himself, closing the screen he brought up as he continued to ponder over the situation.
Glancing at Sellifer and Noel, who seemed to be engrossed in their own world for the meantime, Valyr soon thought about the title upgrade he'd just obtained, commanding the system to bring up its description.
'Surely, this would answer my question, right?' Inwardly muttering these words to himself, Valyr harbored a bit of hope as he began to read what was on the screen before him. Ding!
[Originator of the Prime Azure] (Title)
Rarity: Mythic
Azure Energy was... description has been omitted.
While in the midst of improving the quality of your Azure Energy to the next stage, you have opted to infuse another Intent that resonates with the concept of Azure Energy, allowing it to enter another level.
However, it is the usage of a concept that transcends normal sense that allowed your Azure Energy to break from its mold and ascend to a level that would've normally been impossible for Azure Energy to achieve.
Yet, against all odds, you've done the impossible, forming a superior version of Azure Energy aptly named Prime Azure Energy.
The creator of Azure Energy, as well as the ones governing the laws around Shadow Energy, all believe that Prime Azure Energy has the potential to reach far greater heights than before.
Now, it is up to you to prove it.
This title used to serve as a proof that you are the pioneer, the trailblazer, and the progenitor of the concept of the Four Azure Paths.
Now, this title also serves as proof that you are the creator, the originator of Prime Azure Energy, a beacon now guiding the Shadow Plane.
Effects:
> 35% boost to the maximum amount of Prime Azure Energy one could hold
> 20% increased efficacy in controlling all types of energies
> 20% boost to comprehension rate involving concepts and skills related to Azure Energy, the Four Elements, or the Four Azure Paths
'I guess not.' By the time he was done reading through it, Valyr let out a slight sigh of disappointment, seeing as he had yet to find out the reason why his Prime Azure Energy reserves had ballooned to over 12,000 points.
Then again, that did not mean that he was dissatisfied with the upgraded title.
For one, the effect that used to boost his maximum Azure Energy now boosted his Prime Azure Energy.
Not only that, but the potency of the effect had been increased by a further 10%, which would have definitely helped him if he were to obtain 10,000 points the hard way.
Nevertheless, the second effect, which boosted his control over Azure Energy, had changed to instead take effect on all types of energies he would come to wield.
Though its efficacy had been reduced by 5%, Valyr felt that it was a worthwhile trade, especially considering how the control effects from the two titles Sellifer gave him were now voided because he now wielded Prime Azure Energy.
As for the 5% increase in comprehension rate, the young man did not think of it much, merely considering as an additional bonus to the already improved effects of the upgraded title.
'It'll definitely help out once I start improving my comprehension over the Intents again later down the road,' thought Valyr to himself, only to let out a faint sigh after that.
"Well, it's not my subclass, nor is it the upgraded title they gave me."
"If that's the case, what's the cause, then?" asked the young man to himself, deciding to take
a look at the notifications he received again in the hopes he would find a clue. Thankfully, the first few notifications he read were all he needed to see, immediately getting the feeling that his answer would be found there.
"System, identify [Prime Azure Energy Mark]."
Commanding the system to bring up the skill's description, Valyr went ahead and skimmed through all of it, his eyes widening in slight surprise due to the changes made in some parts.
Though, that all changed when his eyes laid upon a certain part of the skill, which instead caused him to smile as he felt immense relief.
"Bingo."
Ding!
[Prime Azure Energy Mark] (Lv. MAX)
Rarity: ???
Shadow Energy: 245/245
Prime Azure Energy: 12,372/12,372
Quality (Shadow Energy): 3rd Cleansing (Legendary)
Quality (Mana): 3rd Cleansing (Legendary)
Quality (Prime Azure Energy): Echo - Prime (Uncommon)
Chaos, destruction, and death. These properties are considered to be what makes up Shadow
Energy.
Order, creation, and life. These properties are considered to be what makes up mana.
For ages... description has been omitted.
On one fateful day, in the hopes of ascending the quality of their Azure Energy, a being naturalized to the Shadow Plane decided to experiment a bit, wondering what would happen if he were add another Intent to what was already an exemplary result.
What happened was that the exemplary result turned even more exemplary, with the addition of a transcendental concept giving it the capability to shed its earlier limits and break through
greater heights.
Because of that, the energy is considered a superior form of Azure Energy, which the system has termed as Prime Azure Energy.
This skill allows the user to tap into Shadow Energy and Prime Azure Energy at any time, not needing to form a connection with the Shadow Plane anymore to do so for the former. This skill also allows the user to store Shadow Energy within their bodies, the amount of which could be improved through the absorption of Shadow Energy through the creatures within the Shadow Plane.
Aside from that, this skill allows the user to store Prime Azure Energy within their bodies, its amount equal to the value of the lower of the two initial energies, plus 10% of the value of the higher of the two initial energies (Lower: Shadow Energy, Higher: Mana).
This skill also allows the user to gain a permanent boosting effect from the refined quality of Shadow Energy, mana, and Prime Azure Energy, its effects having been heightened with the purity of Prime Azure Energy itself.
As of current, this skill permanently boost the user's physical and mental stats by 20%, the user's max HP and MP by 20%, and the user's Attack and Defense stat by 10%.
[Note: This skill has discarded all of the concepts awakened by Shadow Energy in its previous version due to the near-limitless potential of Prime Azure Energy. This reminder shall not be shown the next time this description is brought up.]
Though there were some parts of the skill that made Valyr feel it was a downgrade over its previous version, he still considered [Prime Azure Energy Mark] to be an overall upgrade. Aside from the fact that his energy reserves for Prime Azure Energy were now 40 times greater than they were before, the permanent boost to his stats had been considerably improved than
before.
'It is a shame that the skill lost that part where it boosted my stats in reference to how much energy I had,' thought the young man to himself, only to wryly smile as he continued to think
about it.
'Then again, with how much Prime Azure Energy I have now, if that part were still there, I would've probably had the power to fight even Myths without breaking a sweat.'
'In any case, definitely more than what I bargained for.' Closing the description to [Prime
Azure Energy Mark], Valyr continued to adorn a smile as he glanced at the two once more. Opening up the list of prerequisite quests to his subclass, the young man briefly thought about what he said to Sellifer earlier about the Void World being able to offer him something.
'Well, I thought about hunting the beasts of the Void World since it wouldn't hurt to increase my energy reserves even more,' inwardly muttered Valyr to himself. 'But the fact that my Prime Azure Energy now scales with my mana makes that kind of pointless.'
'Then again, that might change once I take a look at my quests.'
Ding!
Growth Quests (Four Paths Azure Warlord):
> Improve one's Intent related to either Shadow Energy or mana to 3rd Grade or higher (0/1)
> Improve the quality of one's Prime Azure Energy to the Echo stage (1/1)
> Increase one's Prime Azure Energy reserves to 10,000 (1/1)
> Summon an Azure Primordial Beast that emulates 80% or more of the user's stats through
[Four Paths Azure Manifestation] (0/1)
> Master at least four of the nine fundamental forms of combat through [Four Paths Azure War Arts] and [Four Paths Azure Liberation] (1/4)
> Evolve the concept of the Shadow within Prime Azure Energy to the concept of the Void (0/1) Rewards: Transformation of the Four Paths Azure Warlord subclass to a better fitting subclass at Epic+ - Growth rarity, additional skills and other miscellaneous rewards
'So, they changed the quest related to Intent and the quest related to summoning,' murmured the young man to himself. 'Makes sense.'
'As for the one involving the [Four Paths Azure War Arts], they didn't change anything about it.' Valyr faintly nodded at that. 'Then, they added a sixth quest for me to complete.' "Evolve the concept of the Shadow to the concept of the Void..." Slightly frowning as he
muttered the words to himself, the gears in Valyr's mind began to turn as he tried to understand what he exactly needed to do to complete it.
Fortunately, it did not take long for everything to click in his mind, prompting him to look at
the two with a slight smile as he thought to himself, 'Well then...'
'I guess it's time to explore what the Void World has to offer.'
