Chapter 224 - 224 Dividing
224 Dividing
There were a lot of people who had gathered there.
Looking at the way they looked at each other with distrust, it was clear that they didn’t want to get close with others. They were all powerful team from various locations.
Lucy stopped the car and the two of them walked out. She glanced at Kate. “Technically, we’re not a team yet. How do you want to report our existences in this area?”
“Just say that we passed by.” Kate shrugged. “Besides, I’m just a healer while you’re an enhancement awakened. We can only be considered as a small team that’s roaming around the area.”
Thinking about it that way, Lucy nodded. It seemed that there was indeed no way they could be truly considered as a real team. At most, they could only be put inside because they had some capabilities.
As expected, a soldier came to inquire about their identity.
“We’re just a small team. But my friend is a rank 6 healer, so she thought that she can be of help.” Lucy patted Kate’s shoulder as if saying that Kate is really amazing.
The soldier was surprised and then looked ecstatic. The other rank 6 had reported their elements and there was no healer. At most, there was only one wood element while the other was more suitable for either attacking or defending. Now, there was another one in the support team, he was naturally excited.
“What’s your name?”
.....
“Kate.”
“Alright, Miss Kate, please come with us. The team leaders are all gathered here and they’re all rank 6. There are a total of 3 rank 7 giant mutated snake but there are only 7 rank 6 who gathered here, so everyone had to form a team.”
Kate nodded and walked forward.
There were indeed six people there, including Kyle. Five of them were males and the last one was female. When the female one saw Kate, her eyes lit up with relief. It seemed that she was not the only female here.
“Alright, everyone here is rank 6, so I’ll be direct.” The commander looked at the six of them and sighed deeply. He lamented the fact why more than half of them were not from the military and instead independent group.
“I will need you to split into 3 groups and led your group to help dealing with the rank 7 giant mutated snake. One of them is underground, so I will need a group that had both metal and earth element to deal with the one underground. The other two are roaming around the city and you can settle the team by yourself. Please introduce yourself first.”
“Petra, rank 6 earth element.” Petra looked at the others with gloomy look.
Kyle narrowed his eyes when he looked at Petra, but his lips curled up to form a devilish smile, showing that he had no fear. “Kyle, rank 6 fire and lightning element.”
“Yuri, rank 6 metal element.”
“Alisa, rank 6 water element.”
“Robert, rank 6 earth and metal element.”
“Kent, rank 6 wood element.”
Kate blinked her eyes. “Kate, rank 6 healing element.”
When the word ‘healing’ was said, everyone naturally turned to her side. They knew the importance of healers in this stage and seeing that there was actually a healer who had reached rank 6, they were quite astonished. It was not easy for healers to rank up because of the limitation of resources and so on.
Kate could only show an innocent face.
“Alright, let’s form the team first.” The leader clapped his hand. “Miss Kate, as a healer, I hope you can stay on the ground.”
“Yes.”
Robert raised his hand. “I’ll deal with the one underground.”
Petra actually wanted to stay on the ground, but thinking that he would indeed more active underground, he gritted his teeth, “I’m also the one underground.”
Kyle looked at Petra and lowered his eyes. If not because they were facing 3 rank 7 giant mutated snake, he would be willing to kill Petra first. But that would have to wait until they finished deal in with the rank 7 giant mutated snake.
“As for the others, how about lottery?” Alisa raised her hand timidly. She was not sure about the best element mixing.
“Alright, let’s do lottery.” The commander was helpless.
They do lottery and soon settled the team. Kyle will go with Alisa while Yuri will go with Kent and Kate. Kate looked at the lottery in her hand and sighed deeply. It seemed that she would not be able to stay with Kyle at all during this short mission.
After settling the team, they asked their own men to hurry and prepare the plan.
“I’ll be the main attacker.” Yuri looked at the other two. He was from City H and had been the one tasked to deal with the rank 7 giant mutated snake. But upon seeing that there were three of them, he nearly pissed his pants.
Thankfully, the city then adopted the defensive strategy, trapping one of the rank 7 giant mutated snake in the underground tunnel that had been strengthened. The other two were still roaming around and attacked their city from time to time, nearly shattering the defense.
They had managed to breakthrough a few times, but managed to be pushed back after suffering quite a lot of losses.
Now that the reinforcement had arrived, Yuri felt more confident.
Kent glanced at Yuri and nodded. “Got it.”
As a wood element, Kent was more inclined into crowd control skills, which was not that suitable for attacking. Since Yuri had volunteered to be the main attacker, he would naturally not compete with him.
Kate nodded. She’s only a healer, so it was natural that she would be the support.
After settling this, they quickly departed along with the people in Yuri and Kent’s team. From Kate’s team, Lucy was following leisurely but vigilantly. She would never allow anyone to have a chance to hurt them in the slightest bit.
