Multiverse Story: Judgement Day
Multiverse Story: Judgement Day
A/N: This is a different story set in another corner of a multiverse, an alternate universe if you want to call it that. It'll sort of tie in later, but not really… it's hard to explain it without saying any spoilers. Just know that this Pluto is different from the Pluto so far with different experiences, but they'll eventually meet as they have the same circumstances. I'll post another multiverse story after every arc if you guys like this sort of thing.

Background: With the forming of the Avengers and the existence of the X-Men, the Celestial Arishem had commanded the Eternals to wipe out the so-called 'mutants', as they discovered that the ancestors of those mutants have procreated with the deviants, thus creating the X-gene.
Because of his romantic ties with one of the X-men, Pluto didn't agree, but with Arishem giving the Prime-Eternal, Druig, more power than the others, he successfully mind controlled all of the other Eternals. And so, the judgement day of the X-men is coming, with the Avengers trying so desperately to intervene in this brutal war.
With the Eternals's resurrection ability, the Mutants have been pushed hard while the Eternals never lose any members at all. Almost all of the mutants on land have been eradicated, and they have evacuated to an island called Krakoa, intending to have the final stand there.

Two individuals were standing opposite of each other as the sea waves below them clashed against one another. The wind was blowing strongly and the sky was getting darker and darker, it was simply a terrible sign to come as those two individuals faced each other.
"Hello my love." said one of the two, it was Pluto, wearing his silvery black garment, his deadly bident resting in his hand. Pluto was simply smiling, but a tint of sadness could be seen in his expression.
The other individual could only stare at Pluto's deep purple eyes as she clenched her fist tightly. She couldn't say anything to the man in front of her, she simply froze at his words.
But soon she plucked up the courage, her red hair fluttering from the strong wind. "Must we do this?"
Pluto could only close his eyes at her words. "I cannot disobey the words of the prime-Eternal, Jean. he has tightly grasped every Eternal's will in the name of Arishem."
Jean Grey was about to cry in front of her beloved, but she knew it won't do anything to him at all, so she could only hold her sobs for later.
"Forgive me," said Pluto with regret. "I wasn't strong enough to hold back their influence. So please, I don't want to hurt you, give me the path to Krakoa."
"I cannot let you go to our final stronghold against your kin's tyranny." she quickly calmed herself as her eyes turned red, dashing away from the man she once called her beloved. "Therefore, you shall not pass!"
"Very well." Pluto's eyes glowed golden, and the sea quickly turned bright as his golden legion was conjured to fight at the sea.
The endless constructs quickly rushed towards Jean, but she wasn't disturbed at all. She conjured a red telekinetic shield, and pushed the constructs away from her. The construction was thrown everywhere, but it kept coming, and it quickly surrounded Jean.
Jean wasn't about to go down without a fight, so she gathered up her power as she screamed in pain, before releasing the energy, ridding herself from a lot of constructs.
While the constructs were recovering, she turned towards Pluto, who only stood calmly, staring at her from afar.
Her hands were quickly covered by red telekinetic energy, and a barrier suddenly surrounded Pluto. Jean made a crushing gesture using her hands, and the barrier quickly tried to crush Pluto.
Pluto could only struggle a little as the full force of the mutant opponent slammed against him, but he then easily destroyed the barrier, weakening Jean further as she became more and more tired.
"Use the Phoenix Force Jean." said Pluto calmly as he slowly approached her. "It's the only way to fight me."
"I- I won't." she gritted her teeth as she tried to stop the horde of aquatic constructs trying to tore her into pieces. "I don't want to!"
"Why? Are you afraid of hurting me?" questioned Pluto, but Jean was silent, continuing to fight back the constructs. "Let it go Jean. I tried to fight back, but I can't."
"Please…" Jean pleaded to Pluto. "Come back to me. I can try to–"
"We can't have our previous life anymore." Pluto cut her off, before dashing towards her, with his bident in front.
But before he could reach Jean, he suddenly could feel a punch hitting his face, throwing him off course.
"You Eternals have ravaged the land to find the mutants. Now you want to ravage my territory?" the man who punched Pluto spoke as he floated. An army of Atlanteans quickly attacked Pluto's construct, even though they're not as many as the constructs, they're more skilled and trained.
"Namor." Pluto spat, recovering from the punch. "Do not interfere, this is not the Avengers' business."
"Oh I am not with the Avengers." Namor said calmly. "You are simply trespassing, and I cannot let you do as you wish in my territory."
"Then Atlantis will fall." Pluto said clearly, dashing to Namor with his eyes glowing golden. The tip of Pluto's bident glowed orange and the sea below him started to boil from the sheer temperature of the thing, but Namor seemed to not care about it, and was prepared to take it head on.
As Pluto reached Namor's location, the Sub-Mariner grabbed the two tips of the bident easily, not bothered by the heat at all. Pluto simply released the bident and punched Namor with his left fist, throwing Namor into the sea.
Pluto dashed to him again, not caring that the sea was Namor's domain. He plunged into the sea and grabbed Namor's neck, but the Atlanteans quickly surrounded him.
"Give up," said Pluto coldly. "Or I will kill you right in front of your subjects."
"Fuck off." Namor spat.
Pluto could simply frown, and suddenly, Namor's eyes widened.
He felt that his throat was crumbling. It was Hydra's acid that was secreted from his hands, and Namor quickly tried to break free, but it was of no use.
The Atlanteans quickly fired their weapons at Pluto, but they quickly realised that it could hit their king, so they rushed towards him instead.
But Pluto's golden horde quickly overwhelmed them, attacking them from the back while Pluto just stared at Namor's eyes that slowly dimmed.
But a burst of powerful energy suddenly attacked Pluto from behind, knocking him down, and Namor broke free from the grasp.
"Stop this!" Jean cried out. "You need to snap out of it, Pluto, I can help you with it! The Phoenix will surely—"
"You are too naive Jean." said Pluto as he recovered from the blast. "The Phoenix will not listen to you, try it then if you are so confident in your willpower. If she comes out, it'll no longer be you, and I can at least fight you without burden for I know that I was fighting the Phoenix, not you."
Jean could only clenched her fist at his words. "I–"
"You are always so indecisive!" Pluto quickly rushed towards Jean and grabbed her by the throat, before slamming her to a glacier nearby. Jean was now laying on the ice, with Pluto on top of her, and his bident pointing at her chest.
Jean could only submit to Pluto's grasp as she saw the cold look of Pluto.
"Fine then." Jean suddenly just relaxed. "Just do it. You are not the Pluto I know. I had thought that I could snap you out of it, but turns out, you're not even the same person."
Pluto raised his bident and aimed it at Jean's heart, but he was doing it slowly, as if hesitating.
"The Pluto I know has abandoned violence, and is a loving man." she continued. "Just… if you're in there… I love—"
"ARGH!!!" Pluto cut her off and stabbed the ground angrily, avoiding Jean's body. He quickly stood up and held his head as if he was having a strong headache.
He finally dropped to the ground again, with the bident supporting his body.
"Jean… do it." he said desperately.
Jean, still recovering from her shock, quickly stood up. "W-What?"
"K-Kill me!" Pluto screamed, still holding his head as if he was fighting something in his mind. "I'll find a way! I promise! But Please! Send me to the domo!"
"I-"
"This is not the time to be indecisive Jean! Do it!" Pluto begged.
Jean's eyes quickly glowed red, and his hands were enveloped with telekinetic energy. Her hand then made a crushing gesture, and before she could realise what she did, Pluto's eyes turned lifeless.
She had made Pluto's brain collapse. She thought it was impossible because of the nigh-invincible mind shield of her beloved, but she felt that the shield was gone, as if he let her do that.
Jean could only drop to the ground once again as she hugged Pluto's body, crying on his shoulder silently.
