Kairen tilted his head.

"Why do you-"

_EMERGENCY! ALL OF THE UNITS, IT'S AN EMERGENCY. THE CAPITAL WAS ATTACKED.

Kairen closed his mouth upon hearing the voice of the person who was screaming loudly in his communication device.

_I REPEAT! EMERGENCY! ALL OF THE UNITS, IT'S AN EMERGENCY. THE CAPITAL WAS ATTACKED.

Kairen stared at the soil.

"What?"

_Tell me the details.

He heard his team leader's urgent voice.

_A BOMB EXPLODED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MEETING. ONE OF 'THOSE' BOMBS WENT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PRESIDENT'S OFFICE.

A heavy silence fell upon the whole area. The place that was buzzing by the sound of the reporters was now completely silent. Some of the reporters dropped their stuff. The agents grabbed their weapons. News travels fast as it seemed like even the reporters also heard the news at the same time as the agents did.

_H-How is that... Wasn't our team leader with the president?

Kairen heard Kain's voice. He seemed to be holding back his voice from shaking too much, but he wasn't too successful.

One of 'those bombs', went off in the meeting.

Those bombs.

There was only one thing that people could refer to as like that. The special bombs that Philomns uses. The ones that destroy everything. The ones that you can't survive if one explodes near you no matter what.

Half of unit 6 was in charge of protecting the president. That meant that they must've been caught in the explosion as well. 

If that was true, that meant they were all dead by now. 

Including Kain's wife, Alessia.

Kairen shook his head.

'No! There is no way!'

He felt his heart tremble at the thought of Alessia possibly getting killed. Kairen bit his lips and carefully listened to the conversation while still staring at the soil.

_Weren't other agents guarding the building? There is no way and an enemy can- How did they-

Kain's voice was clearly trembling now.

_THERE IS NO INFORMATION ABOUT THAT FOR NOW, SIR. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ASKING ANYTHING FOR NOW AND ONLY FOCUS ON YOUR MISSION. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. THERE IS A PROBABILITY OF OTHER ATTACKS OCCURRING AS WELL. ALL OF THE UNITS, PREPARE FOR COMBAT. UNIT 5 AND 6, PROTECT THE PRINCE. 

The man continued to instruct and give orders in an urgent voice. No one asked anything after that and all of them listened to the man's orders in silence.

"What the-"

Kairen also jumped up from where he was sitting. 

'What is going on? How could something like this happen?'

A bomb went off all of a sudden? Just like that? Without them even knowing how this happened? What about the attacker? It's not possible that they hadn't seen him go inside the building at all!

Kairen turned around. He wanted to talk to Kain and team leader Dains as soon as possible.

The soil floated up and stood right before his face.

'Ah! I forgot about this dude for a moment...'

Kairen was so shocked after hearing the news that he forgot why he was crouching down behind a car for a moment. Kairen remembered the man's words about the attack.

"You meant this?"

As if waiting for his question, the soil moved almost immediately.

"Then, will bombs go out here as well?"

-Yes

"WHAT?"

Kairen took one step back. 

"Then we will all die!"

Was this man crazy? He had come all the way here to explode a bomb? And he was even informing Kairen about it beforehand!

"Kairen!"

Kairen flinched after hearing his team leader's loud voice. Once raised his head, he could see the man rushing at him.

The team leader's voice was urgent and angry at the same time, but Kairen couldn't pay him any mind.

Team leader Dains and Alan were both looking at the words and then the screaming Kairen with dumbfounded expressions.

In the distance, Kairen could see the reporters running away with all their might. Some hoped inside their cars and ran away while some hid behind the agents. The agents were creating defense layers around the prince and themselves and were going into formation. He could also see Kain rushing towards where Kairen and the others were gathered.

"Team leader, shouldn't we go back to the capital?"

Team leader Dains looked at Kain and then at the soil.

"We-"

Before he could complete his words, the soil moved again. He closed his mouth and stared at the soil even though he couldn't understand the words.

"What do you mean by the capital being the most unsafe place?"

The soil didn't move.

"Hey!"

Kairen poked the floating soil to urge the man to talk. 

"There is someone there!"

"Who is that person?"

"There is an enemy!"

"Prepare to engage in a fight!"

Voices rose from the crowd and the agents protecting them. 

Kairen, alongside the other three people around him, looked in the direction that the crowd was staring at. 

There, in a few meters away from the cars, they could see someone slowly approach them. The person was holding a long spear and his whole face was hidden by the hood of his cloak.

"Hey Hey!"

Kairen urgently poked the soil again.

"What the hell are you doing? Tell me the rest of what you were talking about! What is going to happen to the capital?"

Kairen looked at the soil dude who was approaching the crowd and then at the soil.

"Kairen, what does this man want?"

Team leader Dains was also nervously looking between the words and the man while taking out his guns.

"Where are they? Who carries them?"

The loud sound of two things clashing was heard from where the prince and the crowd were gathered. Kairen could see Reyan, Darren, and Carlson attacking the soil dude that was now in front of their faces.

"Which locations? Tell me!"

"Kairen!"

Team leader Dains grabbed Kairen's arm and pulled him down. A golden aura slash passed the place where he had been standing a few seconds ago and hit the ground a few meters away, slashing the ground open.

'Oy!'

Kairen glared at Reyan who was busy fighting on the other side.

'Look where you are aiming!'

What if the team leader hadn't pulled him down? He nearly got cut and killed by the hands of his friend!

A spear hit Reyan's back and sent him away at the same time as if taking revenge on Kairen.

The soil floating in the air fell down to the ground after that one word. Kairen, who was also crouched down on the ground, picked up the soil that seemed to have lost its soul.

"What do you mean by no!? We've got to do something! It's the capital! There..."

Kairen closed his mouth.

There was a certain precious kid that was now probably playing with his friends in a kindergarten in the capital.

He yelled even louder at the soil. Kairen thought he must really look crazy right now, screaming at some soil and getting mad at some floating dust. But he didn't care.

"What the hell! Why did you tell me that there are four bombs if you don't want to tell me their locations?"

Darren was also kicked in the chest and was flung away.

Kairen held back from shouting that out loud.

Carlson was hit by a wall of soil and by the face and was sent back. 

The soil dude glanced at him before raising his head. He was looking at the location where Kairen and the rest were standing. He was looking right at Kairen's face.

Now, other agents were rushing at the soil dude all at once. However, the man was still standing there and looking at Kairen.
