Chapter 533: Chapter 533 - Northstar to the Rescue
Chapter 533: Chapter 533 - Northstar to the Rescue
A few minutes before Broken appeared in the game...
With heavy breaths, Marco stepped out of the meeting room. He had a lot on his plate, including explaining the major phenomena unfolding in Deadbay City, and the ripple effects that would follow today's events. Complaints were inevitable, and many would scrutinize every decision.
Marco entered the control room, gathering his team.
"Today, we're giving all Immortal Legacy players two additional hours of game time, usable over the next two days. Announce to the world that this is a gift to all players, as Immortal Legacy is on the verge of big changes. This includes updates to the regulations around Penalty Time."
"Yes, sir." The team members immediately returned to their posts, preparing for the announcement.
Marco muttered softly, "There will be many who feel wronged. Complaints, demands- especially from those who've spent a fortune on this game. Their dissatisfaction is certain." He nodded slowly. "But no matter the challenge... the game must go on."
Marco took a deep breath. "In this situation, all I can do is hope that they-the people we're counting on-can solve the problem."
As the announcement spread worldwide, reactions flooded the internet.
"Damn, is this all because of the Emergency Event in Deadbay City?"
"Is the situation so bad that the Golden Age had to make this drastic move?"
"This just shows how incompetent they are."
"Exactly, they messed up and now they're scrambling for a dumb solution."
"Isn't it their job to maintain balance in the game?"
"I'm pretty sure this massive monster attack isn't part of the main storyline."
"Yeah, they're probably panicking about what'll happen if Deadbay gets destroyed." "Is Deadbay really so important that they had to go this far?"
"I'm starting to lose faith in this company."
"A game supposedly managed by Super AI, and a huge screw-up like this happens! It's laughable!"

Leon, Freya, and Lily had been anxiously waiting in the cafe, their tension building as they hoped for a breakthrough. Freya stayed glued to her phone, scanning the internet for updates and monitoring direct messages from the Golden Age Company.
Then, suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she leapt from her seat, shouting in excitement.
"They did it! They finally made a decision!" she exclaimed with pure joy.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Her outburst caught the attention of everyone in the cafe, and some people shot them angry glares.
"This is a hospital! Keep it down!" one of them snapped.
Freya grinned apologetically, quickly grabbing Leon by the hand and pulling him toward the exit. Lily followed close behind, giggling as they dashed toward the deserted car park at the back of the hospital.
"Freya? We need a capsule device. How are we supposed to get one?" Leon asked.
Freya nodded, a sly smile on her face. "Yes... I know... Just look over there," she said, pointing toward the distance.
The sound of helicopter propellers filled the air, and as they turned their heads, they saw a chopper approaching, a large box dangling beneath it. The sight was enough to draw attention from passersby.
"Hey, what is that? A helicopter?" someone in the parking lot murmured.
"Wait, there's a Northstar logo on it," another added, squinting to get a better look.
Leon turned to Freya. "Northstar? But how?"
Freya shrugged playfully, her grin widening. "Save your questions for later," she said. "We've got a game to get back into."
When the helicopter arrived, a few individuals wearing black suits descended using ropes. After that, a large box was lowered to the ground.
They hastily opened the box, and inside was a capsule device. The helicopter soon soared away, and the people in black suits hastily circled the capsule device.
"Who is that guy?" someone asked curiously. "Why did Northstar bring the capsule device to this place?"
"Is this really that urgent? Is this related to the Emergency Event in Immortal Legacy?"
"That man must be someone important."
"Is he Maylock?"
"No," someone else answered, "the guy is too young for a Maylock."
Freya immediately stepped forward, pushing Leon closer as he stood there, still trying to process what was happening.
"Northstar, Freya? Do you mean Northstar sent all of this... for me?" Leon asked, baffled.
Freya giggled, avoiding his question with a mischievous smile. She gave no answer, leaving him even more confused.
One of the crew members from the helicopter approached Leon and spoke professionally, "The capsule device is ready. You can enter it now."
Freya nudged Leon forward. "No need to worry, I've handled everything. Just get inside- plenty of people are waiting for you."
Leon nodded, trusting Freya's words despite his lingering confusion. He climbed into the capsule device, the door closing with a soft hiss. As he settled inside, the familiar hum of the machine surrounded him, and within moments, he was logging back into Immortal Legacy, ready to rejoin the battle.
Not long after, a luxury car approached and entered the area. As the door opened, a figure seated in a wheelchair emerged-a woman with long blonde hair and an elegant, striking
appearance.
"Lily, come with me," Freya said.
"Wait... Who is she, Freya?"
As they got closer, the blonde woman waved her hand with a gentle smile. "Hi, Freya... And you must be Leon's little sister, right?" She turned to Lily.
"Hi..." Lily replied softly.
"My name is Juliette," the woman introduced herself.
Freya chimed in, "Her in-game name is Pussycat. She's the CEO of Northstar Company."
Juliette giggled modestly. "Oh, you can't be serious. I just help my father run the company."
Freya grinned. "You really know how to stay humble, Juliette."
With a playful smile, Juliette responded, "I heard you needed two capsule devices, Freya? Is
that correct?"
"Yes, I do," Freya confirmed.
"But isn't your character in Slumdon?"
Freya shook her head. "Not for me. They're for someone else."
Freya then patted Lily's shoulder.
Juliette smiled warmly. "No worries, another capsule device is already on the way."
As if on cue, the distant sound of helicopter blades filled the air once again, signaling the arrival of more reinforcements.
