Chapter 810 Submission
Chapter 810 Submission
At the last minute, Kyran decided to intervene in the battle between the Armakea and Eidum using his Draconic magic. He came to this decision after much deliberation.
The Shaiha masked his aura and magic, and warping to Cyneah's location would not reveal himself to those outsiders observing from afar per se. But that was not his immediate concern. Instead, he was worried about how the mirror would react once he appeared.
It should be noted that his first encounter with the Macabre Glacier, it managed to influence the Shaiha easily. If that happened, the latter would go haywire. After that, it would stop concealing his aura and magic, which would then reveal his presence.
On the off chance that the mirror would not influence the Shaiha, there was still the remnant fluctuation he would leave behind after warping that could expose his appearance involvement in the battle. It might not be revealed immediately, but those outsiders might have a magic detector or something similar that would allow them to read his magic signature.
In any case, in the current situation, Kyran knew the first thing he had to do was ensure the Shaiha would not become his downfall, which was why he decided not to use its power to conceal his aura and magic. Doing so would mean his presence would be known, but unless he circulated the Void magic energy, those outsiders observing from afar would not recognize him. After all, only those whom he met in person would recognize his aura.
But still, that did not ensure anything. Because they might not recognize his aura, but he was still exposed to them. Thus, he decided to use his Draconic magic only. By doing that, his magic signature would be different. It would also change his aura slightly, and most of all, those outsiders would think twice before doing anything in fear of his identity.
It should be noted that only a handful outside the Regis Family knew Kyran also possessed Draconic magic.
Frankly, compared to Void magic, most Sovereign was familiar with Draconic magic and was afraid of it.
The only reason they made such a huge fuss about Kyran's possession of Void magic was because they had little knowledge of it; at the same time, he also inherited the previous Dark Sage's Legacy.
As for Draconic magic, almost everyone knew what it could do.
And they feared it.
Not only was Draconic magic considered the most destructive magic out there, but the thought of a real Dragon's involvement would strike fear in every Sovereign.
Kyran's Draconic magic was not some run-of-a-mill magic as well. It was as genuine as a pure-blooded Dragon possessed. Apart from this, Dragons who could shapeshift into humans were considered the most ancient and powerful of all. And those Dragons had titles and were known to rule in the Higher Realm.
Kyran wanted to create a misunderstanding that would make the outsiders hesitate to get in his way. He also hoped that this misunderstanding would make the fake Somuli Sovereign think twice about allying himself with Flos's side.
Think about it. Would you ally yourself with some Sovereign faction from the Lower Realm or with a Dragon that could shapeshift into a human and was a ruler of dragons in the Higher Realm?
The latter was not true, of course. And Kyran had no plans on using that misunderstanding to negotiate with the fake Somuli Sovereign. After all, he had the Abbot, who was meant to become Somuli's real Sovereign. Besides, the representative of Flos had already made contact with the fake Sovereign. They might recognize Kyran if he appeared before them.
But using the misunderstanding to make Armakea submit was not a bad idea. Kyran was actually considering this idea very much.
Because the array formation suffered from the tremor, Cyneah's connection with the Armakeans shifted. Though it was not severed, it was enough to wake most members with a mage level higher than an Arch Magus. All the Knights had also awakened, and they activated their Divine Armament to forcefully remove the connection.
Cyneah spat out a mouthful of blood as several foreign magic energies tried to force her magic energy connected to those Armakeans out of their bodies. Because she did not possess a magic core, the sudden surge of magic energy made her body unable to filter them properly. In these past years, the Macabre Glacier had served as a magic core of some sort that filtered the magic energies she took in. But because it appeared to be in a state of frenzy from the appearance of that silver figure, she could not rely on its assistance.
The battlefield had gone silent after the appearance of the silver humanoid dragon. The only noises that could be heard were tense breathing and the crackling of flames, which were remnants of magic attacks.
KKIIIIIEEEAAKKH!
The Macabre Glacier's sentient shrieked, breaking the still silence. It bore such intense malice that everyone on the battlefield could not help but feel a sudden chill run up their bodies. They heard the shriek earlier, but because of the arrival of the silver humanoid dragon, they had forgotten about it. Now that they heard it once more, they were filled with dread.
Suddenly, the battle between their borders had gotten complicated.
Kyran's eyes narrowed as he heard the shriek. He had yet to meet the Macabre Glacier's sentient, but hearing that shriek and sensing its familiar aura was enough to recognize it.
Black and gray mist converged around Kyran, turning into a vast whirlpool. Soon it turned into a huge black and gray hooded figure that loomed above him.
The Basilisk, Comodo, and Dryad before Kyran, frozen from his arrival, could not help but tremble at the malicious aura exuding from the looming hooded figure.
Lady Chrysanthemum, who also regained her senses, albeit unable to control her movements, also looked at the hooded figure with fear in her light green eyes.
The mirror's sentient leaned toward Kyran and opened its hollow mouth, letting out an eerie scream.
SHAAAAAAAH!
A ghastly miasma blew out from the sentient's hollow mouth toward Kyran. In an instant, the bodies of the three magical beasts that were exposed to the miasma dried up as if it suffered from the passage of time.
Of course, this was not really the case. Instead, the miasma robbed them of the life force from their bodies.
It was not only them that suffered from it. Every beast, beast-like, and complete being within thirty meters from Kyran also suffered the same. Unlike the magical beasts, however, those latter few were completely robbed of their life force and dropped dead on the ground.
The Abbot, Nahir, and the rest of the Eidums were familiar with the energy of life because it was their speciality. Thus, seeing how the ghastly miasma completely destroyed the life force of those it touched made their blood run cold.
The Abbot had the urge to shout at the Eidums still outside the border to hurry up and get back inside. However, he realized he could not speak.
Was it fear? He did not know. But he knew he did not want to catch the attention of the hooded figure and have it divert its ire on his people.
It was a little heartless, given that the ones suffering from the hooded figure's ghastly miasma were the silver humanoid dragon and the Armakea forces. But what else could he do? Yes, his mage level was that of a Sage, but his magic was basically for support.
For short, the Abbot excels in preserving life, and that makes the hooded figure his nemesis.
Unbeknownst to him, the hooded figure was not really a nemesis to him per se. It only appeared that way because of its anger.
"You're too noisy."
SHATTER!
A simple sentence, without even a slight change in the surrounding magic energy. But with that, the looming hooded figure was shattered.
Everyone on the battlefield and those outsiders observing from afar were shocked at the power that came from the silver humanoid dragon.
He only spoke a sentence and did not even cast any magic, nor did he dispense his magic energy, yet it easily destroyed the hooded figure.
Kyran raised his hand and looked at the three magical beasts, who looked at him with complicated emotions.
Because he made the hooded figure disappear, they felt grateful. After all, if it continued to release those ghastly miasma and covered their whole body, they would be dead.
Nevertheless, that did not lessen their fear of the silver humanoid dragon. As a matter of fact, they feared him even more than the hooded figure.
Two silver dragons appeared on Kyran's extended arm and circled around the three magical beasts. Somehow, they knew what he intended to do. But none of them made a move. They accepted their fate and submitted to him completely.
On the other hand, because the mirror's sentient was forced back, Cyneah sensed its pain, and she spat out another mouthful of blood.
