Chapter 214: Right Chance
Chapter 214: Right Chance
"So, there is no monster...it basically means that the hyena that I fought and the other hyena was the presence and they left behind their forces at the center of the southeast of the forest, or...it was just a random monster passing through the forest, huh," Dawn said as he looked at the forest.
The forest was...it was becoming more and more confusing for him now that he was in this situation.
After all, the goblins were not able to confirm about who the presence was and this was a crucial factor for them.
They didn't know if it was just a random monster and if it was just a random monster, they could just ignore that random monster and they could just continue running towards their destination, which is the place where Moris was attacking.
However, if it was the hyenas, the rulers of the southeast of the forest, and the main enemies that they had for this war, then things would be different.
They would have to chase after them since it was pretty clear by now and it was even reported by the goblins that there were no other monsters that were following the presence, which means that the rulers of the southeast of the forest were alone and with no subordinates around them.
This was a great chance to kill them as the main problem that the goblins had for this war was the number difference between the enemies, as they had their subordinates and the natives of the southeast of the forest, and their own numbers, which was just around 50 goblins.
That was why Dawn didn't know what to do in this situation as he just looked at the forest.
A great chance was in front of him, but...it could be a curse in disguise as it might just be a random monster, which can also put them in a difficult situation if they went after it only to find out that it was a random monster.
After all, they would have to chase after them using time and effort. The time and effort that they could have used to go and look for Moris went to the random monster. That situation alone was enough to say that it was indeed a curse in disguise if they do decide to chase after it.
It was only after a couple of minutes of thinking that Dawn finally spoke again as he looked at Didi and the goblins who were standing on top of the branches of the trees and on the ground as well.
"Sigh...We can't do anything in this situation. Since we don't know the identity of the presence, we can't...chase after it."
Right, and what Dawn said was indeed the truth. Of course, the reasons were because it might be a random monster.
In other words, the most crucial factor that affected Dawn's decision in this case was that they didn't know the identity of the presence.
If it was the hyenas that the goblins were fighting earlier, then Dawn would have gone right after them without even thinking twice.
However, since there was the possibility of the presence being a random monster, Dawn sure couldn't risk it as that would jeopardize the whole goblins and the whole war against the rulers of the southeast of the forest.
Of course, now that Dawn had made a decision about this situation, it was now time to go back to their original move, and that was to go and meet Moris, the goblin who was destroying the fortresses around the center of the southeast of the forest.
"Alright, can you guys still run?" Dawn asked the goblins as he knew that they were extremely tired.
Although the goblins were able to run with a decent speed, Dawn knew that it would be harder to resume running now that they stopped rather than running in a straight line.
After all, the fact that the goblins stopped running has lifted off a great deal of burden from the goblin's bodies and minds and their bodies would naturally think that it's time to rest now.
And once their bodies have gone into resting mode, it would be a lot harder to resume running.
What's more, the willpower that the goblins needed to have to continue running would be tremendous.
They needed to have the willpower that cannot be broken no matter what the adversary was.
That was how difficult it was just to resume running after stopping suddenly.
However, it seems that Dawn didn't have to even ask them as the goblins immediately nodded their heads and raised their fists in the air, "OHHHH!!!" They shouted out loud as their fighting spirits burned, ready for the next action that would come to them.
Of course, this reaction was only normal as the goblins would never want to hinder Dawn. The fact that Dawn even asked them if they could still run was enough to cheer them up.
After all, that was proof that Dawn was indeed thinking of them and their safety and what they could do.
And nothing excites the goblins more than that. Having the king himself worry about them...that was a dream come true for every goblin, and...all of them wanted to repay the king for his kindness and consideration.
Well, it wasn't really kindness and consideration as it was only natural for Dawn to ask them since they are his forces, but to the goblins, it was.
It was just a matter of perspective who was seeing this scene right now.
Of course, when the goblins raised their hands and shouted out loud for the king to hear their resolve to serve him, Dawn...just looked at them with a fierce smile on his face.
His flashy fangs just came out naturally and shone the world with their light.
He was starting to get excited again, not because of the future fights, but because of the goblins who would give everything for him.
"Let's go!!!" Dawn shouted out loud as he returned the passionate resolve of the goblins by throwing his hand in the air and shouting out loudly as well.
Of course, this made the goblins excited and shout back, "OHHH!!!"
And it was in this way that the goblins resumed their run for their original destination, the fortress where Moris should have been destroying.
****
The goblins and Dawn were currently running as they jumped from tree to tree.
There were some other goblins who were running on the ground and then jumping around as they dodged the tree's veins or whatever it was on the ground.
Of course, their speed was superb, but there was something else that was different to the goblins compared to the time when they were running before.
And that was...they were running even faster than before! They were running faster and it was very noticeable as the goblins were able to travel twice the distance with the same amount of time they used before.
And that was because...the goblins were pumped up and were very excited about this whole war.
Well, it was all because of Dawn, and even Dawn was surprised about this, too.
Of course, this speed was not that impressive to Dawn as he can go faster 10x than this, but the fact that the goblins can still move this fast even though they were extremely tired was really surprising for Dawn.
---I knew that they would do anything for me, but...I never expected that they would even try to drag their tired bodies just to be able to go faster and reach our destination...
Dawn thought as he looked just right in front of him with a happy smile on his face.
Well, Dawn was really happy about all this since it just shows how loyal and dedicated was, and this event reminded him of it.
What's more, Dawn could also feel that not even a single goblin was starting to slow down or anything like that at all.
It was as if all of the goblins were running with the same engine and that they were all synchronized with each other as they ran together.
It was truly an amazing sight to see, and it was also amusing for Dawn to witness and feel that the goblins were not slowing down at all despite their tired bodies.
He could tell that some of the goblins' bodies were trying to slow down with his superb senses, but the fact that none of them were slowing down means that none of the goblins had succumbed to their bodies.
---I have to reward them somehow after this...
Dawn thought as he began to think about how he would reward the goblins after this.
It was truly...an arrogant move for Dawn to think about this right now as they were still in the middle of the war, but it was only reasonable.
Why? It was because Dawn was sure as hell that they have already won this war against the rulers of the southeast of the forest.
"That's right...I just need to find the right chance and this war would be over..." Dawn murmured as a smile crept up to his face.
