Chapter 212: Mabi
Chapter 212: Mabi
While Dawn and the other goblins were talking amongst themselves about the presence who was trying to chase after them, but then suddenly went into a different direction, the topic of their conversation, the presence, was currently leaping from one place to another with his speed.
Of course, Dawn's thoughts and guesses about the presence were correct as the presence belonged to Mabi, who was currently leaping from one place to another as he kicked off the ground powerfully with his speed.
Mabi had Papi on his back, and it seems that Papi didn't fall on the ground despite his initial thoughts about falling down to the ground.
Well, Papi was literally using all of his strength just to grab and make sure that he wouldn't fall on the ground as he grabbed Mabi's body.
Papi didn't want to fall down now as he knew that Mabi wouldn't be able to look behind and go back to him if he did fall down to the ground.
What's more, the fact is that Mabi was currently moving very fast and with an insane speed that most monsters would have their body parts get ripped to shreds by the air.
If Papi, a weak monster who had to use all of his strength just to make sure that he wouldn't fall down to the ground or something like that, were to fall on the ground with this kind of speed, it was easy to guess that Papi would be injured with a heavy wound or a grave wound.
Hell, one might even say that Papi would die if he were to fall with this kind of speed and no one would object to that kind of guess.
After all, the speed that Mabi was currently running on was truly for the insane and brave monsters only.
And Papi knew that very well, which is why he was using all of his strength just to make sure that he wouldn't fall down on the ground.
After all, it wouldn't be funny if he were to die because of this.
And as they were running, something finally happened to this stale situation.
No, it wasn't a monster attack or something like that. There was no monster near them and Papi could definitely say that there was no monster near them.
Of course, since he could tell that there was no monster near them, it means that the goblins were not trying to follow after them.
Anyways, what happened in this place was that...something changed with Mabi.
Something changed with Mabi as his body started to produce smoke and the smoke was flying into the air.
The smoke was thick as fuck as it literally looked like the forest was having a fire burn down its trees, but...because of the speed that Mabi was running with, the smoke never really settled in and just floated away with the blowing of the wind, and that was only natural since they were moving so fast.
However, that was not the main point as this smoke was basically saying that Mabi's body was overheating and that he would reach his limit soon.
'He's about to reach his limits...' Papi thought as he just strengthened his grab on Mabi's body.
As Mabi's body was producing smoke, it was making it hard for Papi to continue grabbing on his body, which was causing him to slip sometimes.
However, thanks to Papi's extreme concentration, he was able to grab Mabi's body again before he would truly fall to the ground.
Anyways, the main point of this smoke was that it was signaling that Mabi's body was about to reach its limits.
Well, considering that Mabi was running with his full speed for a long time now, it would only make sense for his body to reach its limits.
After all, it's not like Mabi would be able to run at his full speed for a really long amount of time. He would soon run out of gas, and it seems that Mabi was really about to run out of gas as Papi could feel it.
He could feel that Mabi's speed was getting slower, and he could feel that the blowing of the wind wasn't as sharp as it was before, which basically means that Mabi was slowing down as he kicked off the ground powerfully.
Of course, just because Mabi was naturally slowing down because of the limits of his body and powers, that doesn't mean Mabi's concentration was wearing off or something like that.
Mabi was fully focused on his task of running, and that was the only thing that he could think of right now as he kicked off the ground powerfully once more as he landed on the ground.
As a matter of fact, Mabi does not even know that his body was producing smoke or anything like that at all.
He didn't know anything about the smoke, which means that he also didn't know that his body was reaching its limits.
However, despite that, Mabi continued running at his full speed and with his best effort as he just tried to go after his destination.
And that was only natural since that was the only thing on his mind right now as he kicked off the ground once more powerfully.
However, it seems that...even though Mabi's mind does not know about his fatigue and his limits, it seems that his body definitely knows as it was currently crying in pain as he produced smoke.
The smoke was getting thicker and thicker by the minute as Mabi continued to run, and his legs were basically so stretched to the point that the moment Mabi stops, his leg would be snapped in half or something like that.
Well, that was only natural considering that Mabi was running at his full speed for a good amount of time now.
This was something Mabi had to pay for using his full speed without any regard for any backlash at his body, and Mabi knew this very well, which is why he didn't put any of his thoughts on his body.
He just tried to maintain his focus on running the whole time and turned off anything unrelated to running. All he did was to think about the ways that he could use to run faster and faster and faster than ever.
It was then that Papi spoke with a loud voice as he shouted out loud so that Mabi would be able to hear his voice.
"Mabi! We are near! Just a little bit more and we would reach our destination!" He said.
Papi was feeling bad that Mabi was taking all the toll of running and Papi was just basically using him as a free ride.
Even though that was Mabi's job, to run for the group at his full speed, it was still enough for Mabi to feel bad since he wasn't doing anything at all.
What's more, the smoke that Papi was feeling with his bare hands was definitely hot. It was so hot that Papi could say that he got burned just with it even though he was not really burning or something like that.
And the fact that it was so hot just basically means that Mabi's body was really overheating beyond overheating.
That was why Papi wanted to do something for Mabi even though he knew that Mabi wouldn't be able to hear it or respond to his words.
And it seems that he was correct in thinking that Mabi wouldn't be able to hear it as Mabi just kicked off the ground once more.
Coincidentally, the reason why Papi was able to speak even though Mabi was moving at an insane speed is because...Papi could resist the wind now.
As Mabi's speed has become slower and at a significant level at that, Papi was now able to resist the wind. He could resist the wind now that he could even speak as the wind blows on his mouth.
"Let's go, Mabi! Just don't fall now, and we would be able to reach out destination and we would be able to destroy the intruders with the help of that bastard, Rabi!!" Papi spoke again as he tried to cheer on his tired comrade.
Of course, he knew very well that Mabi wouldn't be able to hear it, but...it seems that Mabi somehow felt his desire to cheer him on as Papi could feel Mabi's speed getting faster and faster.
Of course, Mabi's speed didn't return to his original speed when he was running with a fresh body and fresh powers.
However, it was clear as day that Mabi's speed was getting faster as Papi could feel that the blowing of the wind was getting harsher and he could also feel that the body of Mabi was getting hotter by the minute.
It seems that Mabi was pushing himself so hard that he was literally...burning everything that he got.
And it was with this kind of determination that Mabi's body automatically roared out.
"Garararararar!!!!" Mabi bellowed out a roar as his body literally screamed for its own as his body felt the pain of being stretched so bad.
