Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2156 Arrivals

Chapter 2156  Arrivals

After the meeting, the Viceroy made his way toward one of the sacred areas situated on a mountain a dozen miles behind the Faulen palace. This was a place of great significance, where only the highest-ranking members of the Faulen clan were permitted to tread.

Passing through the highly secured gate, guarded by elite magus, he ventured deep into the mountain's heart until he stood before a massive metal door adorned with intricate engravings of multiple serpent heads.

With a respectful bow, the Viceroy addressed the sealed chamber. "Patriarch, I came to discuss an urgent matter," he said, his voice reverberating slightly in the cavernous space.

There was no response from behind the door, but the Viceroy continued, detailing the escalating situation with the Ouroboros and the potential clashes between factions that loomed on the horizon. His voice carried the weight of their predicament, highlighting the urgency and gravity of the circumstances.

"Patriarch, I am hoping if you could come out just for a few days, things would settle easily."

Despite his confident demeanor during the meeting, the Viceroy was acutely aware that the core of the problem lay in the patriarch's prolonged absence. The patriarch's presence alone could quell dissent and reinforce the Faulen clan's dominance. The lack of any public appearance for over a decade had given rise to rumors and emboldened their rivals.

For someone in the supreme realm, it was common to enter deep training for decades or even centuries. However, the patriarch typically emerged at least once every few years. This time, he hadn't shown himself in 30 years, only communicating through messages from behind the door. The Viceroy harbored his own concerns about the situation, hoping that this time the patriarch might finally make an appearance.

Moments passed in tense silence before the usual ominous voice of the patriarch echoed in the Viceroy's mind.

<...the girl, do not delay>

The Viceroy's frown deepened. Not only had his request been ignored, but the patriarch seemed solely focused on expediting the gene research, which was the core of their current predicament.

"Patriarch, just let me settle the situation with Silviana first," he replied, his tone respectful yet tinged with frustration.

Before the Viceroy could explain further, a powerful and intimidating aura emanated from behind the door, compelling him to fall silent and bow his head.

"I will follow your wish," he conceded, feeling the oppressive weight of the patriarch's will.

Moments later, a figure emerged from the shadows—a grand magus with a white mask concealing his face. This enigmatic figure was the Grand Guardian, one of the few permitted to enter the patriarch's training chamber. A formidable three-cosmos grand magus, the Grand Guardian carried the patriarch's words.

"The patriarch has ordered me to assist with your situation," the man stated, his voice devoid of emotion.

Though the Viceroy's displeasure was evident, he chose to comply with the patriarch's directive. As the two walked out of the chamber, the Viceroy turned to the mysterious figure.

"You are only to observe. I will handle things myself," he instructed firmly.

"Yes, Viceroy," the Grand Guardian replied, his tone equally impassive.

Afterward, the Viceroy went straight toward the Faulen Gene Center. This facility, twice the size of the one owned by the Ouroboros, was renowned as one of the premier gene research establishments in the Magus Universe. His arrival quickly sent ripples through the facility, with hundreds of apothecaries and staff rushing out to show their respect.

Grandmaster Asclepius, an elder of the faction and head of the gene facility, welcomed the Viceroy, flanked by two of his master apothecaries' assistants.

"Let me see the girl," the Viceroy demanded.

"Certainly, my Lord," Asclepius responded, bowing slightly.

They proceeded to the special chamber. Beyond the one-way glass, they saw the young silver-haired girl, as fierce and defiant as ever. She was screaming at the top of her lungs, her voice filled with anger and determination.

"LET ME OUT!! You bastard!! Let me see my aunt and Shura!! Don't you dare harm them!! Or the queen…. Or worse, my father will smack your #%^#$!!"

Seeing the girl cursing and raging, one of the master apothecaries turned pale. "I think... it's the wolf side of her talking..." The Viceroy, however, remained silent, his gaze fixed on Shinta with pity. She was the latest subject chosen for the secret Supreme Genes Project, a highly ambitious and controversial initiative that had been underway for over a century. The goal was nothing less than the creation of another supreme being for the serpent faction.

These last several years, under the guidance of the grandmaster, they appeared to be on the cusp of a breakthrough. However, this progress came at a steep cost, with hundreds of lives already sacrificed in the name of advancement.

The Viceroy had no qualms about such sacrifices, viewing them as necessary steps toward achieving their ultimate goal. Yet, the escalating situation with the Ouroboros gave him pause. The political and military ramifications of their actions could not be ignored.

After a moment of contemplation, the Viceroy made his decision. "Proceed immediately," #####

Five days later, Faulen City buzzed with the arrival of hundreds of guests. Five serpent middle clans from across the Cerulean Zone—The Colubrid, The Fanes, The Jafar, The Mara, and The Severus—had gathered in the city, responding to the conclave's call. Leaders and proxies from these clans filled the palace, adding to the atmosphere of anticipation and tension.

The streets were lined with banners bearing the symbols of the visiting clans, and the air was thick with the hum of conversations and the occasional burst of laughter or heated debate.

In the midst of this, another ship arrived, its sleek form bearing the distinct markings of the Winged Serpent—a symbol of the Targaryen clan, one of the three major clans. The ship's landing was a spectacle, drawing the attention of all as it touched down gracefully on the palace grounds.

King Corlies Targaryen himself emerged from the ship, accompanied by four grand magus elders and a dozen magus elites. His presence commanded immediate respect and attention. The tough-looking three cosmos grand magus exuded a powerful aura, his mere presence a reminder of the Targaryen clan's formidable strength.

"Roland! My nephew! I have come!" Corlies boomed, striding forward with open arms.

The viceroy, Roland Faulen, met his uncle's embrace warmly. Despite the formalities and the weight of the impending conclave, the familial bond between them was evident. The Targaryens and the Faulens were connected by blood—Corlies' sister had married into the Faulen family, making the Targaryens their closest allies. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

The grand hall of the palace was soon filled with the leaders and representatives of the assembled clans. Amidst the dignitaries gathered at the conclave were six three cosmos grand magus, each representing a significant faction within the Serpent bloodline. In addition to the Viceroy, Roland Faulen, there was King Corlies Targaryen, General Harrold Faulen, the mysterious Grand Guardian, King Severus the Wise, and the Shaman Queen of the Jafar clan. Together, they formed a formidable assembly of power and influence, representing the major forces within the Cerulean Zone.

The grand hall buzzed with anticipation as the attendees awaited the arrival of the much-anticipated visitors. At noon, the sky above Faulen planet darkened with the approach of an armada of over a dozen imposing spaceships. Four of them were given permission to descend, bearing the distinctive markings of the Boa, Kruk, Mauritius, and Ouroboros clans.

With a reverberating hum, the ships touched down on the prepared landing grounds outside the city walls. As the dust settled, a hundred figures emerged from the vessels.

Within the confines of the palace, detailed profiles of the incoming figures were swiftly displayed for the scrutiny of the assembled Serpent elders. While the lesser magus figures held little interest for them, the attention was focused squarely on the grand magus among the visitors. Aside from the Ouroboros Queen herself, four other three cosmos grand magus were noted: the renowned Ouroboros sword master Hirasi, the Emerald elder from the Boa faction, The Kruk King, and the Giant Monarch of the Mauritius clan. Each of these figures carried considerable weight in the Serpent faction hierarchy.

However, a sudden revelation shifted the atmosphere within the hall. A report surfaced indicating the presence of individuals with wolf bloodlines among the visiting group. Initially, the assumption was that it might be the captive girl's father, and there was little concern about the inclusion of a single wolf magus. Yet, to their surprise, it was revealed that there were three wolf-blooded individuals, three in the grand magus realm, with two formidable three cosmos grand magus.

"Who are they?" the Viceroy demanded, his brow furrowing in consternation.

"Viceroy, they are from the Silvermane faction," The revelation sent a ripple of unease through the assembly. The Silvermane faction was renowned as one of the most formidable wolf clans, ranking on par with the Faulen faction itself. The Viceroy's expression darkened as he contemplated the implications of their presence.
